Trimming Belly Fat

There are so many different ways online that teaches about trimming belly fat, but when it all comes down to it, it’s the simple daily choices we make each day that will help us with trimming belly fat.

After having my 3rd child, I wanted to get rid of that extra belly fat, but I didn’t have the time to go to the gym because I was taking care of a newborn along with two other children, and I was attending part-time school online at BYU Idaho http://www.byui.edu/online. To add on to my busy schedule, I didn’t have the motivation to get down with my bad self and focus on a healthy eating meal plans. So what does one do when they have lost motivation to exercise or eat supper healthy? The answer is taking simple small steps that lead to significant changes.

1. Drink a protein shake every morning for breakfast. I don’t have time to make breakfast in the mornings because I’m busy getting my kids ready for school. I noticed when I would drink a protein shake for breakfast; it’s was a light meal that didn’t make me feel weighed down or heavy in the mornings. To be honest, a protein shake is healthier than any breakfast I would have cooked because it would have more nutrients and vitamins in it than something I’d make for breakfast, and it tasted sweet which is something I love in the morning!

2. Drink lots of water throughout the day. Drinking water throughout the day will keep you energized and hydrated. Sometimes when we don’t drink enough water we feel hungry but we aren’t hungry, we’re just thirsty. Sometimes our stomachs feel empty, but if we drink water, it fills us up, leaving us to control our food intake by eating less. Also carrying a water bottle around with you everywhere you go, will remind you of the importance of hydrating your body. Your body is special. Take the time to hydrate yourself.

3. Make a goal to only eat sweets once during the week. Desserts and sweets taste good, but they are bad for our bodies. If you’re eating sweets every day, you’ll never cut belly fat. Eating Desserts once a week is better than eating sweets every day. Even one a day won’t get you to your goal of trimming belly fat. If you’re drinking protein shakes and eating fruit during the week, you’ll lose weight. If you have a sweet tooth during the week eat grapes, oranges, bananas, raisesns, or a protein shake. Eating fruits will help you control your sweet intake.

If you do these three simple things, they’ll make a big difference over time. Sometimes it’s hard to find the energy or time to workout, or we feel embarrassed to go to the gym.
